Vert 1/4 Window Issue

Window stopped going up n down.Took apart motor installed new plastic gear and three new nubs greased up put it back together.Went down and came up great a few times...now it goes down fine to about it half way and then slides down on its own...will not raise without me pulling up on the window,it catches about half way then powers up.Maybe off track?..anyone have this issue? Motor operates fine.Thanks for any help in advance

did you check to see if the plastic bushing guides for the window are not broken

No..where are they and how do I access them? Can I get these at a local parts store? Thanks

No. They are a convertible mustang part that will need to be sourced off another car. Have you tried lubing the guide post? I sprayed mine with white grease and it helped a lot.

So we cannot purchase new plastic bushing guides?..I have to source used ones off a donor car?

To the best of my knowledge. Cj pony parts would be the best place to look.

I can't recall those being on the 1/4 Windows but they may work. Email lmr and see what they say.
