I've only owned convertibles my whole life (I'm 34 now). I'm hooked. You have to expect there will be some trade-offs, such as wind noise, maybe a leak here or there to fix, and others as you become initiated into the ragtop set, but they're all worth it. Nothing like winding through the gears with the wind whipping all around. Plus the Mach sound system is more than enough- I can hear every note at 85 mph top-down, without it even being turned up all the way. I drive mine all year round in the Northeast, and never have found it to be colder than a hardtop. But i will agree that the leather seats can be a rude wake-up on a January morning... lol
Its great, but the car doesn't feel nearly as soliid as the coupe. I have subframe connectors and its still feels less solid than I'd like. I notice it especially when I hit a bump in the road, kinda feels like the top move a little. All in all the pros beat the cons though.
