OK, so the inside of my car as been incredibly hot, especially in the shifter/center console area. Also when I get out of the car, it feels very hot under the car. I have an autometer water temp, and the engine is right between 180-190 at all times.

I think my cats might be clogged. The car has been very sluggish and now with all the extra heat, I'm almost convinced.

Don't know if this is relevant but my ARP header bolts are backing out. Could this be happening from the extra back pressure from clogged cats?

So are my cats bad?

Anybody?

I have an appointment to take my car to get them hallowed out, but I don't feel like paying $100 if it's really not going to help anything.

Yeah I'm going to clean my MAF tomorrow, I know I over oiled my KN filter when I put everything back together.

Anybody else think the cats might be bad?

I think when the cats get clogged they start to glow hot red. IDK.

Did you feel your exhaust tips? When the converters are hollow and gutted the tips are very hot 150+ degees. When in normal operation the tips are warm to 100-120 degrees, and when clogged the tips are air temp to warm 70 to 90 degrees.

I'll check out tip temp. You say hollow and gutted cats will make the tips 150+*, so would an o/r h pipe make the same temperature?

Yes hollow and gutted should have the same result since the cats are not collecting the heat anymore so your pipe will.
