Very Stiff Clutch Pedal

I installed a jegs brand clutch cable and quadrant kit with a firewall adjust cable. Since then my clutch pedal has been really really stiff. I tried every adjustment possible, tried rerouting cable nothing. My next step is to lube the cable up but I dont think its gonna do it. Any ideas? Should i just try a different brand of kit?

I'd personally go with a Ford cable (be it OEM-non-adjustable, or the adjustable piece if you need it).

Yep , The ford cable is the only way to go

A few years ago I had an aftermarket adjustable cable that did the same thing. I put the stock Ford cable back on and problem went away.

Don't use adjustable cables with firewall adjuster. it is very sensitive to get the adjustment right. One or the other is the best.

+1 Long story short I went through a couple of cables, be it breakage, stiffness or notchy feeling. I went with a Ford one and I have not had 1 problem since.
