i bought a 94 gt that had an engine vibration. It starts out at idle being barely noticeable, but gets worse as rpms rise. I also notice that the car will accelerate, but not like it should. Feels down on power. I took it to 100 mph in 3rd gear and it seemed to struggle. Also, let me point out that is it a manual transmission that looks to have had some work done to it recently as the tranny looks like it was dipped, cleaned and repainted. I also should note that i changed the harmonic balancer as well.

The vibration started before of after you changed the harmonic balancer?

It sounds like you got yourself an ignition misfire. If you do indeed have a 94 GT and that wasnt a misprint, start by looking at all the spark plug wires, make sure they're still in good shape and pull the plugs. Make sure they're physically ok.

Might also want to ask in the 5.0 section, it may be a common problem with an easy solution. My expertise with the 'ol 5oh is somewhat limited compared to other dedicated 5.0 owners on here. To be honest I can't remember the last time I worked on a vehicle with a distributor.

Vibration was before i changed the hm and is still there. i was driving away from the parking lot the other day and the car shut off. now trying to figure that one out. but thanks for the help.
