On the passenger side at the transmission crossover the H pipe for the longtubes sits very very close. All the time I hear metal to metal contact there, and it drives me crazy, especially in traffic.
I don't know if the Longtube is sitting higher on that side for any reason, but it really does bother me. I had some material ground off the x member for clearance, but it started back up a few weeks later.
On a related note, how much movement (lateral in the bay) should the engine have? mine seems to move a good bit which makes me suspect of the 10 year old motor mounts. They look ok, but I think I see a bit of cracking on one. The shifter in the car seems to shake quite a bit too.
If its the motor mounts to be my trouble, how much would it be to get replacements? Are poly's suitable (I know, search, but I have all the good ones in my subscribed folder)? I couldn't decide after reading all the posts. OR would something like the 92 Vert mounts be better for my application?
Has anyone else had a problem of this nature? It drives me nuts, and if I can't fix it, then I am going to go with a different brand of exhaust (all mac and flowbastid)
