I was looking at the MSD catalog and i noticed a part number for the 351w dizzy for use with edelbrock vic jr intake. does this mean i have to have a different dizzy to run that intake? i currently have dizzy number 8584. any guys ran into this issue?

Dan,the 8584 does fit the victor jr. intake....you just wont be able to set your timing cause you wont be able to turn it  The water outlet hits the base of the dizzy and you can only move it a few degrees. :bang: hence the taller dizzy for the jr.

Like I was telling you, odd thing is that the one you got now fits the Super Victor (I assume as it doesnt say otherwise).

You could probably do the Super Victor and get the same results as a jr. with maybe only loosing a few ft.-lbs of torque, but on nitrous and at the track the single plain is worth it.
