Which head does the Vic jr compare most closely to? The AFR 185, 205 or 225?
What head does this cam fit the best for race only? solid roller int .696 exh.683 gross lift. Dur@.020 308 326 exh. Dur@.050 278 286 exh. LS 110.
Without knowing the displacement or compression, I'd say you are looking at a AFR 205 as your best bet. Vic Jr, out of the box, is between a 185 and 205 in terms of flow.
225s would be best.
but for the money, vic jrs would be your best bet. I would get them, have a 5 angle valve job and springs done, and you still will be cheaper than the 205/225s.
Looking for 9.50's or better.
I have Vic jr's with a valve job and minor port wk,with really nice springs.
Kinda liked to hear they were not going to be enough. I need thenm on my street car - the heavy roller springs of coarse.
Vic. Jr's or AFR205's wont be enough.....AFR225 would be the way to go to reach your goal.
Vic. Jr's are a great bang for the buck head but they simply wont be enough for your combo. Even AFR205's put out better flow numbers then the Vic. Jr.
