Vic Jr's on 408 good for ? hp?

Port the Jr's on a 408 or get the AFR 205/225's.

A good 408 stroker w/ 10:1 comp on pump gas with a set of Stage 3 ported heads, .600 lift, 230/240 dur cam and ported Victor intake should make 575hp and 540tq.

I'll be running a .697 lift split solid roller with a lot of duration. 12.1 comp. I want to go either extrude hone or get some nice cnc work done do you rec anyone?

Sounds similar to our set-up,only with a solid roller cam.

I wont go into alot of detail,
Our set-up:

408
dart block,eagle kit,12:1 compression,TEA Track Heats (flowed 308/235 @ .600),cam motion hyd. roller cam (.604/.585 253/264* @ .05 111* LSA),edelbrock super victor with bg 950 race demon rs.

Runs real strong,and its streetable.

But if your wanting more of a race car, then bigger is better with the heads.AFR 225's would be a good "bolt-on and go" head for a decent price.

What do you think of the Trick flow R heads? I'll be spending good money on kooks headers why not get a better angle head?Don't they flow like 315 on intake stock?

Trick FLow says like 305cfm stock, but I know with just some minor bowl blending and a cartrage roll clean up they will flow around 320cfm or so.And actauly,I have seen that big headers are cheaper for the TFS R heads and the exhaust flow is really good on them with a clean up.

Only down side is,is the you would need TFS specific pistons.

I have my pistons already :( Maybe I would be better off by keeping the vic jr's and porting them.
What kinda power do you think I'll be making with a 408w with 12-1 c/r. The cam gross v/l int is .696 & .683 exh with dur. @.050 int 278 & 286 with a 110 L/S. I'll be running a super victor & a 950 hp carb.

gt-351 no problem with 475RWHP if it is a 5spd car, an auto has to many variables. The 950 is a good choice :nice: it is the same carb that was on the 396.

aleborajas, I assume you mean intake and exhaust runner cc size. It depends on the operating range of the combo, intake, cam , blower etc... a ton of variables.
