How come no one has thought to tell him to see if his ebrake or any of his brakes are sticking for that matter.... My s13 240 had a "powerloss" or 2 months. I did everything from getting rid of the cat all together timing, new everything with the ignition even started to change the maf. Come to find out ebrake was stuck. Before you start dumping money check everything . I bet its brake related, Ive never seen anything effect revs like that except for when your trying to go down the road and the brakes are on...

you mean your ebrake was stuck without any smell or grinding noise? how did you find out?
