Vin number assignment from order date

Hi everyone,

I ordered my 05 GT140A on 9/28/04. I am anxiously awaiting the VIN number assignment and build date. For those of you who have ordered, Can you let me know what the timeframe was for Vin assignment, build date, then delivery.

Yes, I am getting anxious. Just need some input from you guys to put my mind at ease!

No where to be found

Ordered late June
built 2nd week of september
Shipped Oct 2
Do not have it yet.
Pretty bizarre. Maybe it is because there are problems with the early shipments, as some postings have suggested. Ford and dealer do not have any firm information to tell me.

Yeah I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and was wondering that also.I called today to put a change in I decided to delete the spoiler. The dealer told me they proably wouldn't know anything till middle of november.

I ordered mine 2 and a half weeks ago and have a VIN and it's ready to be submitted for build. We're guessing another 3 weeks.

Thats what bothers me. The dealer could get a VIN #, build date, delivery and sell the car to someone else at a higher price before I even know anything about it. Its been 4 weeks now and nothing. When I call they say it most likely wont get a VIN # till end of November. That seems a bit long, doesn't it?

order to vin to delivery

Ordered First week of September, Vin assigned mid September last numbers 669. Scheduled to be delivered week of oct. 27 (This week)

What "Priority code" (it is a numberic number) do you have, for those that don't have any information. That could be a reason for it, I would assume

We ordered ours six days ago. The dealer told me the order was accepted and we should have a build date by the end of this week or early next week. He says that the Factory closes down for a few weeks in December. So, if the cars build date is before the factory close down we should have our car just after X-mas. If not we are looking at the early Febuary.

On the order sheet it says "Priority 99". Are there different codes that get accepted sooner or later then others? Thanks in advance for your help.

Tell the dealer to change it to Priority 10 and make sure he/she does change it. 99 is the worst. I believe that (99) is like it will never happen!

Well, no wonder they are telling me end of November. Just so I am clear on this. How many different codes are there and what do they mean? I need to sound like I know what I am talking about when I call them.

I work at my dealer, maybe that's why it's moving faster? I hope I get mine before x-mas. I already have the wheels, exhaust and springs, I'm getting impatient!!

The codes start at 1 and run to 99. A dealer can only assign between 10 and 99. A 99 order can't be schuduled.

This is a link(F-150 based but it is FORD) I found since the other site is down. The same topic has been discussed there also. I hope this helps you and other

Great info on the link. Why the dealer assigned me a Priority 99 I have no idea I will be calling them today to make sure they change it. I am sure others will be checking there Dora now. Hopefully there are no other 99's out there. Thanks!

I ordered mine mid Aug. It was built on Sept. 10th and I have still not received. Dealer or ford have no idea, when it will be shipped.

My priority code is 46 I ordered on 10/8 still no info. I made a change to delete the spoiler yesterday,and I called the dealer today and he said the change has been accpeted. But he doent think I will get it until the beggining of the year,because of the hoildays.
