this is for the guys with remote mount batteries.

13.2 at the battery and 9-10 on the gauge

running #2 welding cable

all ground are new and clean.

need to pull the hood back off (layed in place and bolts are in just not tight yet) so i dont know what it actually is at the front of the car.

but does the voltage drop sound high to anyone else?

Those numbers you got the 13.2 and 9-10. This is with the car running? Sounds like you have a draw on it.

But were are your grounds to. On my car I have a ground from the battery to the frame. Then I ran another ground from the spot on the frame to all the way up front were the stock ground was, then ran another ground to the engine. I use welding cable for both positive and grounds. I had got some from my job and just strated using it up.

Then on the positive I ran from the battery to the cut off switch. from the otherside of the cut off switch to the coil then from the coil to the starter. Also using welding cable for everything. It's probally over kill but I just had so much cable lol.

I don't have the cut off switch... And I don't have the ground ran from the battery to the motor.

But I have the battery to body. Going to throw a ground from the body over to the frame rail and maybe another from the motor to the frame rail. My positive goes from battery to the coil on the fender

You need to use a DMM for this, not only for accuracy but to not be introducing a lame stock gauge, it's wiring and connections as possible variables.

As noted, you'll want a ground from the neg terminal to the stock grounding location up front.

this is the first ive heard of this since no kit does it this way and every car ive seen with trunk mounts dont have ground running from the battery to the motor.

13.2 at the ground point from the motor to the frame rail to the positive power wire at the coil... My guess is a weak battery is why it won't start
