ok so ive narrowed down the problem of my ignition system to this: ive got correct voltage on the power wire to my coil, but only about 9.6V on the return wire when engine is under electrical load (headlights, a/c blower fan, etc.), which is when my engine has had a surging and sometimes stalling idle.

i was advised to check the eec-iv unit harness for dmg and bad connections and also the fuse panel for bad connections that would drain the pwer out of the system.

also, where could i find a headlight switch wiring harness? im checking with napa, but if they dont have it then would a ford dealership be able to get it for me? i dont want to have to go to the junkyard for that. thanks

where could i find important grounds from the engine to the subframe/engine bay? it seems that with the ohmeter, the battery is 0, the whole frame is -.001, and when touched to any part of the engine its -.011., so a bad ground from the engine could be at fault as well.

thank you guys for help
