vortech dyno results!!!!

I was kinda hoping the motor would pop when he did that LOL. Then I could sue and get a forged motor. But yea, this guy scaird the sh1t outta me taking it that high. So what would you guys recommend doing to make it a little safer? I'm never going to take it past 5500 rpm anyway, but maybe I can add more fuel? I just don't have the money to have it retuned.
 
Mybe he thought it was a 4V? LOL.
I know Tim took mine to 6200 on the dyno, many times, and set the rev limit there. So apparently these motors can take alot of abuse....he didnt seem even remotly worried.
I think 6500 is pushing it a bit, but I suppose its ok for a dyno run.

As long as there is no detonation, it looks as though they will handle all sorts of power. Mine for example is WELL WELL past the saftey zone...and so far so good. But then again on adverage I do shift at 5500 MAX. At the track I was running it to 5800 or so.
 
lmao...I think they knew it was a stock 2v block, but they still pushed it that high. As of now I'm not hearing any detonation or knocking. I tried adding more fuel, but the xcal2 is locked, so I emailed the tuner about it. Hopefully they can send me an unlocked tune.

Power drops off like dropping a rock in water. I dont think the bumpy lines in the above dyno chart is from valve float BTW...I think his power would just drop like mine.

Give me a reason for what? I think he just tuned the car for power, not longtivity lol. Even though I want my engine to last a while. The AFR really isn't TOO lean until it gets past 6000rpm. I don't think anyway should rev past that with the stock block anyway.

I was told that the bumpy lines might be engine knok, but I don't think that's the case because I didn't hear any. Others have mentioned belt slipping causing this, or floating valves. So I'm not sure what could cause that.

I'm guessing because my max power is at 5800rpm. I believe the blower starts to run out of steam if spun beyond that. With a bigger blower, it'd keep pulling beyond that.
