[Hey everybody,I just finished installing the v3 sci low boost kit, and I'm not sure if all is well. All videos I've ever heard have a whistling sound, and mine has a grinding or rattling sound. Any body have this same sound? Is this something I should worry about?

The new v-3's are pretty quiet but that doesnt sound right. Did you put oil in the compressor?

It's brand new, and came pre filled with their synthetic red oil. I made sure to check with the "built in" dipstick.

honestly doesn't sound that much different from the v3 sci we just put on a 5.3 ls tahoe. the sci seems to have a little growl to it where the si's i've seen haven't.

Yeah sounds normal to me. It actually sounds just like my V2-SQ trim. The helical cut gears sound more like a (wer) than a (whistle).

Nothin prettier than the sound of the V1's. I had a sc-trim for 7 years. I recently swapped it for a V2-SQ.

Kinda miss the sound of the V1 but really love the added boost at lower rpms and 2.5 psi more than before up top.
