Well, I"m trying to finish up my vortech install, but I'm stuck on getting the bracket on to the heads. My question is did all of this line up w/no problems for you, because not all of my holes seem to line up. My heads came off of my old 87gt ( Windsor Jr's) , but I thought all of the accessory holes are the same. I had no problem bolting up the old bracket that held the alt and smog. I was thinking of just using 3 out of the 4 bolts to hold the bracket, but I'm concerned if this will hold up, seems like w/the bracket holding the blower, alt, and smog that this might not be a good idea. So should I use 3 out of the 4 bolts, and just leave that one empty, or should I try to drill the hole out bigger on the bracket to get them to align better. I would prefer not to drill it out, so if there are any other ideas, please share

Thanks,

Also, one more question, I didn't have anything to cut my brackets with, so I took everything that needed to be cut to a local performance place, and they cut my coolant tuber per vortech's instructions ( ones that run along the lower intake), but they cut the tube that was supposed to be shortened completely off. They said the vortech kit comes with new ruuber hose that is used and I don't need the other line. Is this true?, I found the rubber hose and it does say run it from the firewall to the supercharger, but says nothing of plugging up the original coolant line that was shortened ( or cut off in my case). Were both coolant tubes necessary, or did you just plug it off and run the hose from the firewall to the supercharger??

the coolant line gets cut off it hits the alternator if you dont, there are only 3 bolt hole that go to the head the other hole I think is for the alternator do you have the instructions for the kit? if not you can download them from their website. did you buy the kit used?

No, I got mine new, I ended up just using 3 bolts, but my instructions say there are 4. I'm still lost on the coolant tube, the part that is supposed to be shortened is just completely cut off, and all I have is the part with the tempature sender on it. I thought if I didn't need it, and didn't cut it off, then I would have to plug it, but there are no instructions for that, which makes me worry that the shop shouldn't have cut off the other colant tube.

they had to cut the tube offdont wory I did the same to mine when the alternator gets mounted back into the car that tube wuolda hit it trust me I had to do the same and really didnt wanna
