you'll be pushing it. i've seen guys throw tons of boost and get away with it, and others blow it up on the second pass. if you baby it and save the engine you'll be fine for a while

Assuming you have a good running motor already with good compression then if you run 8psi, have adequate fuel, and get a good tune, I don't see why that wouldn't be a good combo with a stock block. Obviously, how you drive it will affect the longevity of the block.

I was just curious, my stock bottom end has a fresh rebuild, it only had 75,000 miles on it when we redid it, was running fine when rebuilt, just went thru it while we had it out. The car is a daily driver for the most part with some occasional hot rodding in the summer. Not drove much in the winter at all. The biggest question of all is, would you get the regular version or the super quiet version?

It's all about the tune. I run 14lbs on a stock bottom end but this is with a conservative 24 degrees of total timing (methanol injection) and an 11.3:1 a/f ratio.

A professional dynoe tune is on the list for sure. I just couldnt decide to go with the 5-6 psi kit or the S trim

If you don't already have an upgraded fuel pump, ignition, and injectors then go with the S trim. I went with the SC merely b/c I already had the extra components included with the S trim.

14psi 540rwhp on the stock 93 lower end. Stock rods, crank, pistons, bolts.

I do run the Snow kit so that helps alot.

My big question is the extra 2 psi worth the $800, I think I may just order the 5-6 psi kit here shortly

As does the SC .... very similar blowers but the SC is more efficient and can be spun faster.

I opted for the 6 psi kit, I had my heart set on a kenne bell but they are too damn expensive, I'll use the extra cash I saved for some drag radials and a dyno tune
