I have a vortech v2 that i'm going to put a 2.87 pulley onto. Its for a 2000 mustang and i need to know if i can pull the pulley off my self or if i need any special tools. Will a socket wrench work just fine? Also i need to know what size belt to run. Maybe someone who has done this swap can help me out here. This is for a 6-rib. Also i have the upgraded 3" idler supercharger pulley.

Ok now i need some help fast!

I am trying to remove my Vortech supercharger and i have all the bolts removed except for the two main bolts, If you look at the photo where it shows number 1 thats where i cant get my bolts out. I can feel the bolts wanting to come out, they spin freely by hand yet its stuck to the block somehow, It feels like its some kind of suction or something. It reminds me of when i did my breaks and you had to hold the back piece to remove the bolt or else it would continue to pull in and out and spin.

If anyone can help i really need to get this new belt on. Thanks!

i did something like that once... putting on underdrive pulleys on my car first time i broke 3 pulley pullers on the balancer and when the 3rd 1 broke the washer that was on the bolt fell out after it snapped ( i was pulling against the washer the whole time) :rlaugh::rlaugh::rlaugh: im such a loser
