I have a vortech v2 that i'm going to put a 2.87 pulley onto. Its for a 2000 mustang and i need to know if i can pull the pulley off my self or if i need any special tools. Will a socket wrench work just fine? Also i need to know what size belt to run. Maybe someone who has done this swap can help me out here. This is for a 6-rib. Also i have the upgraded 3" idler supercharger pulley.

The pulley you can take off yourself with basic hand tools or air tools.

Right now i have a 3.33 pulley on the car so i should probably do 1/2 smaller then.

Ok now i need some help fast!

I am trying to remove my Vortech supercharger and i have all the bolts removed except for the two main bolts, If you look at the photo where it shows number 1 thats where i cant get my bolts out. I can feel the bolts wanting to come out, they spin freely by hand yet its stuck to the block somehow, It feels like its some kind of suction or something. It reminds me of when i did my breaks and you had to hold the back piece to remove the bolt or else it would continue to pull in and out and spin.

If anyone can help i really need to get this new belt on. Thanks!

Thanks actually i figured it out. The washer was stuck to the bolt causing it to not come out.

Anyone know how to remove the pulley from the supercharger? I cant figure out how to un bolt it?
