Being that Vortechs prices are so cheap right now i cant pass it up. so im gonna order me one. but a few questions first? the kit that im ordereing does come with a FMU but will i need it if i have 42#ers and a kirban FPR?
what Pro-M MAF should i get? what all do i need to run 12psi? and will i need a bypass valve? thanks!

If you run 42's you can get by without a FMU. Just get a good tune on it. (probalby need a chip)

To run 12's psi you will probably need a power pipe and smaller Blower pulley and or a bigger Crank pulley.

The bypass that comes with the kit will work just fine for 12 and under. And 80mm pro-M should do the trick...

What he said..... I bought the same tuner kit. I had no chip though and it ran fine until detonation!

thats good to hear! so now all i need is a AFM power pipe, shorty Pro-M 80mm, and a smaller blower pulley. so now heres another question? what size blower pulley should i get? 3.33? and also.. does anyone make a air to air intercooler that will work with this kit?

I have 36's and run pretty rich before tuning with the TwEECer...That's with stock heads.

AND....

I still have the stock FPR.

I dont think Ive seen anyone in our forums with a blower that needed more than 42's with the other (as Eades says)
"usual" bolt ons.

looks like you will be running pretty close to the same setup as me and Eades. I personally had to upgrade my fuel rails due to the injectors starving for fuel. After i did that i was able to finally cross the 500 rwhp barrior on pump gas.

Now if your really serious about making power you might even think about skipping the s-trim and moving up to a t-trim. This will also allow you to switch to a cog system in the future that will prevent belt slipage.

Just an idea that both me and Eades wish we would have spent the extra money at the time for... Same with the block, doh!

Well i was really hoping id hit the 500rwhp mark, but of course i want to do it on pump gas! i hadnt planned on upgrading my fuel rails right away, but now that you have mentioned it! ill add them to my list. now i hadnt really planned on making anything over 550rwhp because i dont know how much power i should put on my block. now that being said.. would you still reccomend me upgrading to a t-trim or how about adding a water/methanol injection kit later on? also, how many psi were you running when you finally hit 500+rwhp?

i'm only running 24# injectors with an FMU, and a good tune. i put down 390rwhp on about 8-9lbs of boost. You will need something smaller than a 3.33" blower pulley to see 12#s. a 3.33" will only give you about 8-9(i'm running the 3.33"). A 2.95" or smaller pulley will get you there. make sure you have a belt tensioner to really limit belt slippage if you can. but the T-trim would solve that with a cog belt.
