Well now I have a innovate LC-1 W/B and need to figure out were to place the o2 sensor.

Its going to just stay in the box until at least the end of the month (hope it cools off by then).

I need to know the gen. distance the sensor should be placed.

I have 2 H-pipes to do this with BTW.

on the stock H-pipe is it nearest the first "pre-cat" as it will go...that seems to be what I have found...but not specific to mustangs.

The other is an O/R H-pipe, about how far down should I measure or should I go a certain distance from the stock location down stream?

Lastly, what bank is best/most common to put it on? I dont think it wil make TOO much diff. but if there is a specific side to choose...lets hear it.

thanks,

put it at the 3 or 9 o'clock (to prevent moisture from building up and killing the sensor) position up near the stock sensor

Make sure that you buy a nother O2 bung. I have myne on the passenger side.

The funny thing about my car is that its an Auto and I have Lts and the O2 bungs face towards the tranny and there 1 inch between the two.
So I had too weld 3
O2 bungs into my OR hpipe the 2 stock ones face outward and are at 9 and 3 and my lc1 O2 is within an inch back from the stock at 11 oclock and ith fits nicely between tranny and body.

For my LC-1, I went to the passenger side.

The instructions with the sensor have specific instructions on where to place it.

Are you going to hook it into your twEECer R/T?

I plan on running it threw the EGR on the tweecer. I hope to run a switch to the EGR/o2 to switch between the two from inside the car. I have been reading on the setup of it this way anyway...I need to really start looking at what needs to be changed in the tweecer to get it all scaled up.

I watched the video online and it really only said the temp stuff (1300 and 900) and said to put them as close as you can in front of the cats. I have not opened the actual box yet as I dont want to loose anything since it will be at least a month before its installed.

Greg

Here are a few of my thoughts

I've seen so many use that WB
so
You get the benefit from their experience

Like Wes said ... they give specific instructions

I'd have a bung installed in both sides :Word:
IIRC ... it cost me 25 bux to do it

You then have the option to switch sides

The switch is nothing more than ..........
the egr input to the pcm on the center pole of the switch
the egr on one side of the switch
the wb on the other side

To my way of thinking
NOT having the WB outputted to the Tweecer
is just giving up the option
to have ALL data displayed in sync with each other in your datalogs

I do have one question on the matter...might be kinda dumb/noobish but I want to make absolute case positive that I am thinking about this correctly.

Since I am going to be logging threw the EGR, do I make a sep. tune with the correct W/B voltages that = A/F or what? I mean I get that since the EGR is now a W/B the EGR will just be seeing the voltage from the W/B and that needs to be in the correct format for the W/B to show accurate readings...

What about changeing it back to actually running the EGR...I really dont think there is much need to log it...but what about the normal opperation when its not logging A/F?

basicly do I need to make one "tune" with the EGR settings setup to log the A/F and then when I am not logging but want a working EGR switch it back to the correct EGR settings with a seperate tune?

Or

is there some seperate log I can put the data or something I am not getting?

I don't have my wideband connected to the TwEECer. I just datalog my AFR with the LM-2 handheld datalogger, then download to Logworks and view there. I got lazy .

I have my 02 sensor installed in the drivers side exhaust about 18" from the collector - off road H-pipe only - at the 3 o'clock position to keep moisture out, per the instructions. Mark the bung location while the pipe is on the car.

Remember, do not turn on the 02 sensor heater until after you start up the car - this allows moisture in pipes to escape. Oh, I just leave my 02 sensor installed in the car even when not tuning, i.e. permanent installation. Been there since about March of this year and no problems.
