Walbro 255 warning/ and driveshaft concern.

Well after installing my walbro 255 fuel pump, def an increase in pressure from stock fuel pump well when I was under the hood I saw THIS:

And then started the car Via remote start heard a hissing then saw THIS:

Some serious pressure Just warning you guy that if you install a 255 fuel pump this might happen. all four of the fittings were like that. I will be upgrading to the stainless lines and the screw on fittings.




Also some of you are having vibration problems could it be caused by the damper on the driveshaft heres a pic of myne.:

I figured that if the Hb on the crank could cause vibration why not another balancer.

Mods if this isn't considered tech then move to talk.

i belive only AODE cars had the dampner on the DS

Thats weird ive never seen that, do you have an adjustable regulator?

otherwise i would not be worried this fuel lines are like that the hose is like that.

and the vibration i think its about your Damper however is that and Std , or a AODE?

I am 99% sure what you see pulled back is just a protective covering over the nylon line. The regulator will maintain the fuel pressure at a steady state for you regardless of the pressure coming from the pump(s).

If that is not the case then I (and many others) am in trouble running TWO 255s.

I've got some stock lines in the shop I'll go take a look at.

Yeah, my fuel lines have looked like that for years...no leaks

Agreed. You can see the nylon line is still right where it's supposed to be, although it does make me wonder if there could be a crack in the nylon line somewhere that's causing the rubber line to possibly swell somewhere and pull back from the connection. There's a thread over on Corral that discusses the stock nylon lines on the 94-95 having issues with cracking over time. Here's a link
