He didn't fix it, but he figured out what is wrong, and so now it will get fixed correctly!ASD said:

. But he did find out what was going on -- I can't really describe it correctly, but it has something to do with a bracket, bushings, and the pinion. Something about the bracket is backwards, and as a result there is an air gap between the bushing and the pinion, which is where the clunk is coming from.I'm happy that it will be getting fixed now. If only Wally had been doing it in the first place it would never have been an issue.
I was getting just a wee bit frustrated, as Keith can attest to
