Yeah, it's kind of an intermittent problem that's started recently. I'll be working on that this week. Any suggestions?

Man thats a wide open question... I would be doing a full tune unless you had one recently...I would throw some fresh plugs for starters and see how it responds and go from there...Whats the gap??
It sounded like the top on 2nd was doing it to but 3rd was more pronounced...Hows the ignition system, wires and such age wise?? Hows the cap and rotor look?? arc'd or carbon fouled??
Not knowing youe mods I would ask where the FP?? is it starving up top??
If it just started recently it could be just tune time?? Wheres the timing?? How many miles on the dizzy?? It could be getting sloppy and floating when the revs are up??
I start with the basics myself and pic away at it...

It's the top of any gear really, it did it on the dyno saturday too, at around 5900 rpms. The wires have maybe 600 miles on them(Taylor 409's), and I just changed the plugs about a month ago. They're gapped at .45.....Hmmm....That's about when this started so maybe I should change back to my old plugs...
Cap and rotor look good, MSD dizzy has around 1600 miles on it. FP is stock, and my dyno run back in April showed A/F to be between 12-13 all the way up to 6200.

First thing Im gonna do is replace the coil, and fix the ground wire to my Crane ignition box.

Why 45 on the gap?...I used to run em at 54 on the stock ignition...I would def open them up and see what gives...and then your ground issue could be valid?? Coils very rarely go bad from my what I've seen over the years..

I have bout the same parts, but run the PD igniton set-up and gap mine at 60.
Try some NGK UR45 V-Grooves..Been running em for 4 yrs now and never an issue..
Let me know how it pans out...

I went with .45 on the gap because that's what was reccommended in the Crane instruction manual. It felt like it made more power when I had them gapped at .54 so Im gonna go back to that or higher when I get a chance.

The only outside vids I have right now are a couple dyno runs and a burnout.
