want 400+ rwhp....iron or alum. heads?

hey guys....im looking to get around 400 or a bit over 400 rwhp...i dont want to stroke it so a supercharger is obvious.....what im debating on is should i go with iron or alum heads...i know i can make more hp with some tfs or afr's but will boost and some gt40 or gt40p's crack 400 rwhp easily? some boosted iron head dyno #'s would be appreciated

Id say youd have to port the gt40's or gt40p's to get those kind of numbers with a supercharger. With a better cam, and atleast 9#s of boost, with ported heads you should be there.

with a good intake and enough boost you could do it

Yes as long as you have the right supporting stuff.

Last time my car was dyno tuned i made 423 rwhp... thats with the 302ci and ported iron gt-40's...not including the meth. injection or the camshaft.

My brother has a '92 GT with unported GT40 heads, unported Edel Perfomer I intake, "e" cam, and a rebuilt Paxton s/c that makes 9lbs instead of 5lbs with the same pulley. He just dynoed at 375 RWHP/RWTRQ. If he improves the heads, cam, or intake I am sure he make 400. So it can definately be done.

ported E7's, Typhoon Intake, Stock Cam, SC-Trim @ 10psi making 405rwhp. Wasen't hard to do...

Or just leave the engine stock and turbo it.
