guys,

My drivetrain is almost complete, I have the motor to push the car (347 w/ 150 shot), have the rear built with 31 spline strange axles, 3.73 cogs, and an auburn pro diff. and will be adding a tremec tko 600. Wat is the best setup to get the car to hook. I am going to run the 17" anniv. cobra wheels, with either m.t. et streets, or drag radials, but other than that, what should i do for suspension, and with a decent driver, is this car capable of low 11s, high 10s?? money is an object, but I don't want to skimp on anything. thanks,

Make sure you get a good set of LCA's, that helped my 60 foot out alot. You can also go with a set of adjustable uppers to set the pinion angle if need be. Strange struts/shocks are nice to for their adjustability.

Get Full lenght subframe connectors. They make the car so much stable while launching and prevents the twisting..if that. Remove the front sway bar (or you can just unbolt it without removing it) so you have more weight transfer to the rear wheels. If your car is more dedicated to the track, then you can get the front Lakewood 90/10 struts (or other brands...some adjustable, some not). I had the Lakewood 70/30 and was pulling some wheelies n/a. Move the battery to the trunk so you have less weight on the nose and more weight transfer. A good set of lower and upper control arms as well is needed and extremely helpful. Too bad you have to run on 17" wheels. The best are a set of 15" with MT ET Drags slicks. But I'm pretty sure the newer MT Drag radials would do the job ok, but not enough for all the power you will be putting down.

I have full length sub-frame connectors, and mickey thompson makes a set of et streets for 17" wheels. so wat brand of upper and lower control arms would you all recomend?? and 90/10s for the shocks?? I have bbk lowering springs, should I keep them, or ditch them? I still want the car to be useable on the street, so if there is a way that i can pull 1.6s, and still stay streetable, thats the setup i'm looking for. anyone with a similar setup have timeslips?? thanks everyone.

I have adjustable shocks and struts on my car, home modified stock control arms, and with the front swaybar removed, 26x10.5 ETdrags and a 5K launch and I cut 1.6's on the motor and it pulls the left front several inches with the cobra r's on it and will get both up a little with skinnies. Never sprayed it with the new motor but in my opinion slicks are the only way to go. They hook better than et streets and I have run both to know.

I'd set up an RPM switch. If you launch on the 150 shot, you are pretty much going to blow away the tires unless on a really good set of slicks and have a well tuned suspension.

My set up is as follows:

Front suspension: Stock Kmember and a-arms, Eibach Drag springs, Lakewood 70/30 struts, no sway bar, and MAC C/C plates.

Rear suspension: UPR Pro series double adjustable UCA's and adjustable LCA's, Eibach Drag springs with air bag in passenger spring, UPR Torque box plates, Lakewood 50/50 shocks, stock quad shocks, no sway bar.

On this I went from 1.8 60's to 1.6 to 1.5 60's on drag radials.

Drivablility is great with the setup there is a little body roll on tight turns on normal driving but not that much to cause uncontrolable vehicle.
