Want to change tailshaft bushing of my T-5

What do you mean by tailshaft bushing?

Are you talking about rear output seal? If so, They are easy and nothing more than removing the DS and pulling old one, and tapping in new one.

If it is the bushing behind the seal, you will have to remove the tailshaft. What I did is find a socket EXACTLY the size of the bushing and punch it out. It took some work but it came out. Carefully tap in a new one with something soft until you can get it to the point where you can use the socket again. Help?

Yep I used a socket to get it out, pretty easy...the size is 1 3/16"

I don't know the exact socket but I just looked through my tool box plethora of sockets until I found one the right dimention to fit. Go to ford, buy the bushing, take it to sears and compare it to sockets. But dont get one much wider than the bushing. It has to fit in the tailshaft. If anything, take the damn tailshaft to sears and pop some sockets down there until you find the right socket to fit in the hole and still have enough lip to knock out the bushing. But, it will most likely chip the chrome off the socket so if your going to have to buy a new one, consider it a good used tool!
