I just got my autopower roll bar for my fox convertible. If anyone has any installation suggestions or pictures can you please post. It does not seem to just drop in like I was told it would. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not familiar with autopower's roll bar so I don't know how it's supposed to just drop in. I got mine from C&W Racecars & had a local shop that specializes in mustangs fit it & weld it in. I lowered the cross bar in the back so it's even with the back seat. That way I can still use the back seat if I need to. It's not NHRA legal to run the cross bar that way but it nobody's said anything & it hasn't failed a tech inspection yet.

Thanks for the Pics. I like what you did with the cross bar. I just bought the 4 point roll bar but I think I will have the cross bar welded in along with the extensions that run along the base of the seat up to the front of the car.

Thanks :nice: ....I'm trying to keep the look simple & clean. I have a new trunk lid for it to smooth out the back (getting rid of the luggage rack) & then I want to work on the interior. New door panels & recover the seats. I appreciate the compliment.

Be careful what you wish for. :) I have autopowers 6 pt bar in my vert and the front door bars make entry and exit a chore. The cross bar up high almost makes the rear seat uninhabitable. It's a PIA getting in the back. If your not going to race at the track, the 4 pt should be fine. I'll take pics of mine today and post shortly. I also had the bar covered in the white vinyl like the interior. I also cut out pockets at the rear seat back where the bar passes the seat so it looks like a factory install. I installed my bar in about 5 hours in the parking lot of the condo I lived at at the time. Also did the AOD swap there too. Neighbors thought I was nutz. :OT: I also used push pins instead of bolting bar together. Fit is REAL nice and no unsightly bulges from nut heads and bolts. Nice, clean and smooth. Just take your time, remove the entire back seat. You'll also need to have trunk access. While the seats out, you may wish to look for your cars build sheet. Mine was under the rear seat. Use a new blade when trimming carpet around the main hoop. Any more Q's, feel free to ask.
