I've found the warning chime in dash that begins for no reason OR won't turn off. Its attached to a circuit board behind the A/C controls. What is this circuit board. Can I remove it? Should I just destroy the warning chime?

Not sure if we are talking about the same chime (I am talkin about the one that sings to you when you leave the lights on and the door open or key off or whatever BS it does). On my 88 GT Vert there was a single wire grey connector under the column. I disco'd that and it shut up. Good time to fix the stupid key release if it bother ya too (not that I would Ever condone doing any of that, since it is all safety equipment. ;) ).

Good luck.

What year is your car? If it is the same as my 88 it is a little square "chime module" that can be unplugged and removed. I think the circuit board you see is the connecter.

Quick story. My "chime" annoyed me so much that back in 1988 I pulled it from the car and pitched it into the wooded lot next door. Eight years later I bought the lot next door, cleared it, and you guessed it I found the chime. Looked brand new. :bang:
I have sold these things at work {a L-M dealer} and I am amazed anyone would pay the high price for one just to be annoyed!

blue box?????

if i think what ur talking about it is a blue box it is part of the air bag system there is a malfunction go to the junk yard and find another maybe u can un plug the battery and it will reset it maybe it is just some kinda code?? worth a try make sure u always unplug the battery when working on the air bag system let it sit about 15-20 mins cause it stores power even though the battery is unplugged!!
