I was driving my car tonight and all of a sudden i heard this loud noise coming from the engine bay, i was about a mintue from my house. I realize that my volatge was low and that i lost my power steering and then i look at my temp gauge and it was at 230 amnit: turn the car off and coasted home. How much heat can the alumunin heads take? Thanks!!!

230 is nothing. i wouldnt run the car like that all the time but 230 wont kill the motor

modern cars run around 220-230 to help with gas mileage and emission and to increase engine life
