Nope, not really considerint the milage was first reported only 1 year ago.


That's kinda odd because if o do a carfax on my car, i have the milage all the way to when it was new. The car was titled with 5 miles on it.

yeh thats when i had it inspected in MA. like i said before the car was from NY and the title did not list the miles like the MASS ones do.
i guess they dont even check the miles at NY inspection stations?
that makes it kinda easy for someone to roll back the miles without anyone knowing. pretty stupid.

but hey thanks for all your help.

p.s. my car actually did have a "new car scent" air freshener in it when i bought it, should i consider that to be a clue?

Once you mod this thing enough, the miles stop mattering. I swapped a 140 into my '87 that had about 10k more miles on it than the factory one, all told though, of everything in the car...the only thing that is close to the odometer is the chassis and the axle tubes. heh. Everything else is new or has never been in that car before.

It was a mid/late addition to the 1989 model year appearing around May or so of 1989. This is well documented.
