Vortech HO. Worth every penny just because 300hp isn't that much these days and 462 is a good resource to fall back on. It also gets better gas mileage when driven normally. For overtaking, it's essential here in the UK where the roads are a little more twisty.

Twisty roads? Thats all there is in Scotland. Are there places there where you are that allow you to open her up?

The 2005 Mustang is one of the more popular American cars here in the Uk and there are several importers. We have our own Mustang Owners Club (www.mocgb.net) and there are now quite a few supercharged Mustangs in varying guises. There are several Saleens, several Roush and a lot of Vortech equipped cars. I think more people are taking the plunge into muscale cars because the 2005 Mustang looks so damn good but those who do buy seem more willing to take the plunge and buy the blower. Like anything, the more people do it, the more people are confident to do the same. It helped that two of the motoring mags over here bought Mustangs and ran them on their fleet and were favourably impressed by them.

The Mustang attracts a lot of attention - you get people taking photographs everywhere you go. They're still fairly rare but there are 3 others local to me. Mine gets a little less attention as most cars here have the racing stripes and I haven't fitted them as I don't trust the longevity of them. I fancy a black bonnet but will wait a while before I worry about paint.

I live in Wales so we have similar scenery to Scotland and there are plenty of roads round here for exercising the car. We also have monthly runs with other performance cars and many are surprised by how well the Mustang goes and handles. Here's a pic from a recent one:

My friend with the TVR was somewhat vexed when the Mustang blew his Griffith 500 away!

There are a few Mustangs in Scotland too, 2 at least that I know of but Scotland's a big place.

It can only be a good thing though. The Mustang has started a charge and made a great impression. Reaction to the Camaro and Challenger over here is very positive and some are drooling to get their hands on them. The Corvette and Z06 are doing well too and again are being uprated and getting positive reviews. I just wish we didn't have to pay 10% import duty and 17.5% VAT on top of the US prices though....oh and of course we don't get any warranty at all.
