Watch out for this guy!!

I can attest to flat black covering rust. When I bought my car, I didn't know to look for this. The seller said no rust......wrong. Ultimately, he lied but I still did ok and I love the car.

Also, I just can't see myself ever buying a fox for 14g. But I could see myself putting 14g in one.

Well in the guys defence he does live in connecit where it snows and I think thay still put salt on the roads up there so it is not a uncommon thing to see a car that has been freshely undercoated or painted. You cant say if the car is full of rust from a picture it is just one of those things you have to go inspect. Now he may of just wanted to clean up the bottom of the car up so he painted it black to make it nice. Hell my car is a florida car it has small bits of surface rust nothing uncommon. Just like every other car. I will be pressure cleaning it soon and painting it. I agree that 13000k is steep I would only pay that for a 93 cobra with low low miles.

And thats all fine and dandy, but its just the way he presented and replied to Mike that makes you get suspicious right away. If it were me selling that and Mike would have questioned the rust, I would have tactfully replied that I could take more pictures and schedule a visit to inspect the vehicle before committing on a purchase. No one in their right mind would consider paying any amount of money after bieng talked to that way, much less $14,000
He would have had to be a great salesman and show me oil change and new parts reciepts for me to consider that deal.

here is how he answered me..........

"there is nothing wrong with the underneath its not rusted thats the way car has been for years and its not over priced sorry you dont agree its ok keep your mean comments to yourself. Hiding behide your computer is not really that nice."

Why exactly is this in my technical forum???

Posted by a founding member even... Hmmmm

I recon' that the status of founding member can be made to read "Noob" with just a few key presses.

Ok but you're going to have to toss a REALLY hot girlfriend in to sweeten the pot. If she shows up wearing clothing, the deal is off!
