To my defense, my first sentence started with "This might not be the right forum but".

How can you tell it's a reconstruction?

It looks just like every other reconstruction. Not a bad thing... they're usually done right if accomplished by a pro but this guy doesn't appear to be being honest about it.

Someone do a car fax and look for a salvage title. See if that at least was done correctly.

Damned near every part under that car has been painted. Even the bellhousing. lol The only way to do that is to tear it all apart, paint it, and put it all back together. Why do that unless you're either upgrading or.... reconstruction after damage.

If they just don't know what their doing, they could have just washed the car, cleaned the inside, and spray painted the underside after they rolled the milage back....that was after the car was smuggeld in from cuba, look at the hatch you can see where the cigars were...

I've always seen some type of overspray on the bottom of real mint Mustangs...not rattle can spraypaint. Whether the guy is lying about rust or not, he's full of crap that the car came new like that.

Ya know now that i think of it....my '88 GT had under body coating from the factory, but it looked like that rough under body spray you can buy at hardware stores...almost like Rino bed liner material. The difference between my car and what his looks like is crazy though, his is definately spray paint. The funny thing is it really doesn't look bad or anything, it's a beautiful car...i don't think i'd call reef blue rare or anything, but it's a nice car. He's insane if he thinks he's ever going to get that price out of it...maybe in 20 years if it's still that nice. I've seen '93 Cobras in just as good of shape sell for less so good luck buddy.
