Also, does anyone know of a waterpump bolt kit for our foxes besides at windsorfox or whatever it is called. I haven't heard much good about them. Late shipments and all that mess

Use stainless steel threaded rod. That way it would be easy to make the bolts in whatever size is needed. Add some stainless steel self-locking nuts and you have everything you need.

5/16"-18 is the size.

I made a thread a while ago when I was looking for pump bolts and studs. Theres a bunch of good info in it. I ended up reusing 2 of my stock studs since thats all I needed with the fms a/c delete kit. I cleaned them up good. The rest I bought all new grade 8 bolts from lowes for a few bucks. Some ford dealerships have the studs but be prepared to spend $$.

I contacted MMS & Accessories & John said he could provide a water pump bolt kit without the studs for $5 + shipping.

I called this morning (7-Dec-2005) and talked to John. He said that they did not have the studs. It may be possible to have them make them, he said they could do it.

I bought all new bolts for the water pump from ford when my engine was done.

Cost an arm and a leg, but i wanted factory bolts since fitment with aftermarket ones is an issue.

I think still have 2 extras, NIP, i'll check the sizes if they are one the packing.

Edit: just checked, i only found one, cost me like $20, it's a studded one.
If anyone wants the part number, just say so.
No size on the bag though.

I've got to make a few more orders and that will very well likely be one of them. My bolts look bad from the "outside". So what exact thread size, length, bolt on the stud location, and all that stuff do I need to know. I appreciate it very much for the call you made and the price is very reasonable

The waterpump and timing cover bolts are 5/16-18 into the block, and 3/8 coarse for the accessory mounting.

I bought the 3 with the two sizes from Ford. They were $7 each, which is not bad. I think one is 7 in long and two are 5 in.

I have heard that ARP and some others have kits with these, and thats the way I would go if I needed them.

I tried the 5/16 threaded rod, but you would still need small bushings to properly locate the accessories that were meant for a 3/8 stud.

The guys at my local shop have tried the arp kits, and they said that about 1/3 of the bolts fit right.

I had a very short converstion with them, and the bolt sizes weren't discussed. John just said they had the kit for the bolts only, no studs. I gusess you might want to call them directly and find out the specifics.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the bolt sizes change (with or without accessories), however, picking up the studs is a bigger problem. The only place I could find them was at my local Ford dealer. $7.00 a piece......what a gaff!!!

Yeah your right, I was just thinking when I was first reading it that the studs were included in his list. Anybody have the part number to those studs?

And then I could drop by my local Lowes and get those "regular" bolts.

These guys also have the 12 point Stainless Steel Ford 302 EFI Waterpump bolt kits for cheap money.....but I just called them .....and of coarse.....the kit does not include the accessory studs. DOH!!!!

Yeah, I have the Ford Part Numbers for those studs. Just promise me that you won't pass out when you see the cost. The cost listed below is for ONE stud.
