What kind of water pump should I run with my setup? Is an electric water pump worth the money and a wise decision for street use? Right now I am running stock. Thanks.
pickup a summit or jegs high volume pump, give you the cooling you'll need plus its more reliable than an electric pump, Mainly electric pumps are for trailer queens thatare looking to squeeze all the hp they can get. For a street car I'd go with a mechanical hv pump.
You can get CSI electric pumps w/fittings for $385 on eBay. I've got the guys number if you're interested in going that route. I got mine from him. He's a good guy to deal with. I believe he sells outside of eBay also. Now that I've got an electric water pump, guess I better start shopping for a trailer
I got an edelbrock waterpump for my setup and it never goes over 160*
I've got an F303, ported windsor jr irons, and an edelbrock RPM II manifold with a vortech S trim, even in the summer, if I left the electric fan off, as long as I was moving it wouldn't go over 180 on the hottest day yet
I was just busting your balls. Mine is a whenever driver. I've got a cherokee for daily use. By whenever, I mean whenever it's not in pieces I wouldn't recommend what I'm building for a work/school car for anybody. Not unless they're naturally wealth
