Just wondering if I should add water pump permatex gasket to the fel-pro paper gaskets I bought, when installing a waterpump on a 90 GT. Thanks for your input.

no. it can cause hard spots on the paper gasket and lead to leaks. just use the paper gasket only.

Ok. Three different suggestions. I'm still baffled.

i just put a thin layer of rtv on both sides of the gasket. You could have searched, you would see that you will always get different answers. Some people say to use it some say dont. Its up to you in the end because both seem to work.

If its a pain in the ass use a sealer, if its not too bad then just leave it dry. Thats my line of thinking when Im working on cars at work.
