Should I buck up and buy a better part... Motocraft, or Airtex...

I bought one at O'reilly's, Master Parts, I guess it's OK, but looks kinda cheap.

I've never bought anything other than a parts store replacement -- don't see a real reason to unless you're going for a hi-po one.

The Motorcraft is better if you get peace of mind having it. I too have always used rebuilt parts store replacements.

If you've got the extra $25, grab the motorcraft, otherwise get the rebuilt... you should be fine with either

I got a brand new water pump from Advance auto parts and it seems to work fine....it was either $30 for the reman. or 40 for the new one with a lifetime warranty. No complaints here! Came with all new gaskets too.

Napa rebuilt right here. FWD rotation 83 tbird WP. I think it was $20 or 15 or something absurdly cheap like that.

I am going to install the Master part from O'reilly's... The local Ford wants $90.66 for the Motorcraft, and I have to put this thing on this weekend, no time for UPS...

The Master Parts water pump is New with gaskets, and a lifetime warranty, if it breaks I will just buy another $30 pump, and not spend $90.
