Water pump questions!

will a waterpump off a 2000 work on a 96?

also, i have the metal heat transfer tube off a 2000 for the headswap, but the one on my 96 is rubber. what do i need to make this metal tube work? i heard i need a piece of rubber to fit over the end of the waterpump feed but im not exactly sure. can someone help me out? thanx

also, how long do these pumps usually last? im debating on replacing mine. i have about 102K on it now. thanx again

The water pump should work fine. I think they use the same one on all the mod motors.

yea, itll work. i have a 00 R pump on mine.

all modular water pumps are the same.

now for my next questions. how do i work the metal coolant transfer tube onto the opening of the pump? can someone help me with that? and how long to pumps last?
