Anybody recently been doing research into water pumps?

I’m wanting to place my order for a new water pump. I have a 1974 302 block with a large non stock radiator with both inlet and outlet to the radiator on the RHS of the block (looking from the drivers seat towards the front of the car). My timing chain cover has the dipstick though the RHS of the cover. I need a pump with a RH inlet. I’m looking at the Edelbrock #8841 which is for a 1965-68 289, 1968-69 302 or 1969 351-W. This doesn’t on the surface seem to be the right part but the #8843 which is for the 1970-78 302 has a left hand inlet.

Can anybody offer any insight into what are the important features which I need to look at to select the right pump.

equal flow, larger bearings. The #8841 doesn't specify that it has the larger 3/4" bearing so I would call and ask. Other than that it looks like a good choice. You don't want a race pump because it could flow so much so fast that the water would not have time to cool in the radiator.
