Do you think that an acid bath will ruin the paint and the clearcoat? I own a 2001 Performance Red GT and a 2002 Torch Red V6 Mustang. Both of these cars have the water spots on the paint and/or clearcoat. The V6 has more spots on it because I use it as my daily driver all year round.
I am VERY concerned and worried that my private detail guy which I use (who does detailing on the side for me and who also works full time at a Ford dealership and does ONLY detailing and prep work on brand new and used Ford vehicles for the dealership) is going to take the paint off my Mustangs when he is giving it an acid bath. I am afraid that he might accidently make a mistake and do something wrong while giving the car an acid bath. I don't understand how this process is done so, I am worried about it. Also, how can someone do damage to the original paint job or clearcoat that's already on the car while giving the car an acid bath? What can occur if the acid bath is not done the right way? Can you explain this to me in detail so I can understand it? Thanks.
