Water temp. question

i have a 1991 stock mustang gt and i just put a autometer ultra lite water temp gauge in and it reads 210 220 is this normal and the temp outside is in the 20's

Your stat is stuck. Change it out for a Mr. Gasket 180 degree thermostat. This can be a pain in the @@@, just have patience.

If not your rad is clogged. Do you see good flow across it through the cap opening?

Is this happening at idle or on the highway? Or all the time?

195* should be operating temp. that is not right.

195* should be operating temp. that is not right. Its not real dangerous to your motor, but its getting close enough. I would not be driving around at those temps all the time. You gotta consider, I drive at 160*. My manual guage will climb to 185* in heavy traffic with AC on. My fan is not doing its job, but still holding it below normal temp.
