number one spark plug looks like it is fouled and if I have the car running and pull that wire off of the coil pack there is no spark jumping like it does if I remove any of the other ones.just a bad coil pack?

For a coil pack car, one physical coil serves two cylinders. #1 and #6 are on the same high voltage coil. Therefore, if BOTH cylinders #1 and #6 are weak, then it is the coil pack.

If just #1 is weak, then it has to be the wire.

However, you can confirm this for yourself by swapping #1 and #6 at the coil pack. If the weak cylinder stays at #1, then it is the wire. Otherwise, change the coil pack.

Another option is to swap the coil packs from one side to the other. If the coil pack is bad, the misfiring cylinder will switch to #4. However, that seams like a lot of work to me.
