Weee!!!

So I got my Lakewood shocks and struts installed over the weekend. It's hard to tell what exactly the diffrence is for me atleast because this is my first 5.0 and my stockers we're shot big time, so going over bridges seemed to be a rougher ride than being in a boat on choppy water. Regardless I still love them and the smooth ride. As for the next question I have an exhaust leak on my passenger side so I figure I'll just go ahead and buy a set of headers and get some mufflers. Which headers should I go with though? Longtubes or short? I'm also wanting to plan ahead for future use too so I don't have to buy another set of headers unless I absolutely got too. I plan on buying a set of thumper heads once I get other maintenance on my car completed. But I was wondering if the thumperheads and stock 5.0 heads have the same bolt pattern and such. Thanks in advance guys.

thumper heads are ported stock heads. good heads though.

Thanks for clearing up the head diffrence for me I wasn't sure and the reason I asked about the headers because I thought I read somewhere on his page that he modified the exhaust system somewhat to fit with them but I just looked again so just midread information on my part header fitment shouldn't be an issue then. Now I guess all I need to know is the diffrence between the longtubes and short. Which would be better for me? I don't plan on runnin slicks or power adders to get in the 12's I'm lookin for a simple streetable set up to not empty my wallet. I'm hoping I can pull it off with the heads and a good suspension set up alone maybe a few bolt on's.

i'm a long tube fan so i'm gonna say go with bbk long tubes with a matching H/X pipe. i personally like the tone of an H...X's are more raspy, especially at WOT, but still sound killer. H's have that classic 5oh tone and just sound plain badass at all rpm.

your not going to get in the 12's just with those heads and good suspension, you better have a good intake and cam as well, then powershift the chit out of it, with good tires. ive personally had these heads and they are pretty decent, although It felt stronger with my gt40p heads on there, that bk_cauley now has.

Meh I really didn't wanna spend the money on all that but If the heads and suspension wouldn't do it along with a few bolt on's. I guess my next thing would be getting a cobra upper and lower intake or maybe a trickflow set up and as for cams thats like talkin chinese to me I know nothing about them :( .

I gots to keep it for now, Im buying a gt40/exploder from amber tomorrow after I get tires, but I got to have it for the 86, you dont want to take that intake off anyways, I really dont know if the ported unit even goes faster than the stock 1, that bitsh still spins like a madhouse.
