weight hits starter????HELP!!

I have a C4 in my 66 that has a 302 in it and I decided to put a Ford mini starter in it (part #FMS-M-11000-A50) and the weight on the fly wheel hits the starter when I turn the engine over by hand. If I loosen the starter just a little it doesn't hit.Has anyone had this problem before?

NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BUT I did get a few hi torque starters that was packaged wrong. they had to order it 3 times. One even had a tag on it for a sbf but was a sbc, quality control ?
