Weight savings - Alum driveshaft/t5 swap

I am swapping AODE to T5 soon, how much weight will I save going from stock AODE to
13-14lb alum flywheel
king cobra clutch
rebuilt t5 high alloy
stock drive shaft

also was thinking about getting alum driveshaft for further weight savings, how much weight does an alum driveshaft save off of the stock one? I can get a decent price on one so i was considering it since I want to save alot of weight due to my heavy vert

nobody any comments on differnece of weight between AODE and T5?

An AOD weighs approximately 150 lbs., and I imagine the AODE is about the same. With converter and fluids, etc .... you're looking at close to 200 lbs. total, depending on components. (probably more in most cases)


The T-5 weighs 75 lbs. With flywheel, clutch, p/p, and bell housing, your looking at approximately 125 lbs. total, depending on components.

i agree with ^^^^^^ when i just did my swap the weight loss was enormous! full aode=major weight
