Weird! Blower motor/fan blowing but not blowing

My heater fan works on all positions and sounds like its blowing but no matter what position i put the controls on it doesnt actually blow any air. Well a very very little bit through the dash pad for the defroster. Its warm but doesnt blow but the fan turns on.....whats wrong?

Unless you have it set to blow through the defroster vents, you have a vac leak in the HVAC vac line. I'd find and fix it and then see what else is going on.

There's one feed line and it always cracks or leaks and it leads to only having the defrost vents functional (they're the default when there's no vacuum signal).

Do you have a fox III or SN95? Both have the issue but the source is usually a different location (SN's are in the engine bay and foxes are inside).

The blower motor spins a large hamster wheel - that wheel is what moves air. It's normally made out of thin plastic.

I would think you'd hear funny noise if the fan blade was broken (noise is a symptom in my experience).

It's more probable that the vac system has an issue and all your air is being diverted through the defroster or other vents.

Look on the firewall. By the passenger hood hinge. There is a check valve mounted there. This is part of the main source of vacuum for the A/C system. Like HISSIN stated, if this is broken or damged, you end up with Defrost only.
