I got some adjusting advice from another board and I'm gonna try it this weekend. I'll share it with you all if it works.

Well for two hours plus I tried and tried and am back to where I was. I ended up swapping (again) the blue dual pickup quad (it is in there now), the red, steep ramp, quick release quad is out. I did this because I was unable to adjust the cable at the trannie end. With the red quad, I had to take all the slack out at the adjustable end (clutch fork). With the blue, I could set it in the middle of the threads and adjust it in either direction about an inch or so. So I've got more adjustablility with the blue ques, but, in the end, nothing seems to matter. Any combo nets the same results. I'm kinda convinced at this point that I need to go back to the stock quad, as it seems the quad sets the height of the pedal, which is my biggest problem (knee hitting steering wheel!)
There's my two cents for the day...anyone else had any experiences they care to share?

The maximum motorsports pedal adjuster works, mine is almost even with my brake pedal. I also raised my gas pedal to be equal with the brack pedal.

I think that's the next step - I just went out and looked under the dash of my 02 with stock clutch, quad, etc. In my eyes, it seems to be about the same size and same geometry as the Steeda quads.
Thanks for the reminder lasrred99gt - I was just talking to my wife about that part. I'll order one this weekend or Monday.

Actually I just ordered it 5 minutes ago...no time like the present. I do have a question for ya lasrred99gt. I viewed the install instructions on MM's website and it appears that it makes the pedal longer (closer to the ground) with the additional 'adjuster'. Is that correct? It seems like the adjuster is put in where the pedal normally attaches, then the pedal attaches to the adjuster, resulting in an increase in length.

Clutch travel will be shorter. It has 2 positions, just above the brake pedal or just below.

Wait....how do you feel you're losing time shifting when the engagement is at the top of the pedal travel??? The clutch will let go sooner so you can shift sooner.

Yeah, as long as you only push the clutch half way down...that's kinda hard to do at speed...

Float your foot over the clutch pedal, "preload" the shifter (pull on it slightly so it'll get going to the next gear ASAP), then stab at the clutch pedal.

Thats the way i do it, but im not too confident in that, ive mossed a couple of 2-3 shifts....i would rather be able to slam the clutch and let it go without having to hit my chest with my knee.lol

You forgot to add - pull the car over, pick up pieces of tranmission that fell out, get a tow truck, etc, etc, etc...
Seriously, I'd rather have something that worked right. I don't want one of those cars that you have to drive differently than anything else 'cause it's f'ed up.
MM Clutch Pedal Adjuster was ordered Sat and shipped today...hopefully it will help.

Remember, the MM pedal adjuster just changes the height of the pedal, not the clutch grip point. It has to be used together with an adjustable cable and aftermarket quadrant.

Yep, no problem - I've got two Steeda quads, an adjustable cable and a firewall adjuster installed. The 2 pickup blue one is in there now - I just took the red one out. I spent a couple hours last weekend underneath the 01, and I guess I'll be spending a couple more this coming weekend (Hey, that's my idea of fun!).

I about put my foot through the floor of a coutour that I was fixing for my buddy. He had about 6 inches of travel and it was so easy to push the clutch in. I was so surprised! I'm used to having to put so much more muscle into the stang's clutch

Yeah i took my buddy's corrado for a drive the other day and i did the same thing. I was like "Wait....you dont have to stand on your clutch with both feet?"lol I dont mind the stifness so much, like the rest of the car it reminds you that ur driving a muscle car, but i must admit that 15 mins in stop and go traffic and my leg is hurting....now if ford did the throttle like that, none of us would have the need for a Stair Master.

I personally love the effort it takes, it does make me feel like im driving a muscle car, not some little honda with the hydraulic (sp?) clutch that is feather light

That being said, Im gonna be ordering my clutch pedal adjuster when i order my bilstiens and CC's from them. Hopefully I will get a deal that way

I dont have a problem shifting at all, just the height of it, is not right.

I forgot to mention that this should be a power shift too....no letting up on the gas. It's so much fun.

And if something breaks, well then it just wasn't worthy of living. Replace that weak little bastard with something tough.

lol idk if you guys saw my other thread, but my trannie just took a s@$%t on me. I think i might have broken a fork. So im taking advantage of this and squeezing out a few pennies for a new clutch and maybe a flywheel (if i can afford it) any afordable and tough suggestions on both clutches and flywheels?

Lots of people have SPEC clutches, but the quality seems to be hit or miss.

Never heard anything but compliments about McLeod clutches.
