For some reason that after you turn off the ac on this car the fan will run tell it is cool enough for it to shut down (idleing)...but won't come back on no matter how hot it gets. BUT if you don't use the ac at all the fan will kick on and off like normal all day long... WTF is going on? Any idea's on what sensors I should check?

Wasn't there a recall on these cars? It's a 94 gt convertible.

There was a recall. I don't know what the details were, but in involved the fan relay or circuit breaker. Call the Ford garage and ask them for the details.

i thought the recall was the fan motor/bearings itself. but definately could be wrong.

i had the same problem last week. trust me it's your electonic coolant temparture sensor(ECT) . my fan would only come on when the A/C was on. before you buy the part check the plug that goes on the sensor to see if the wires are frayed. the part cost 16.99 from autozone. the ect is behide the top part of the upper radiator hose on the left side of the distributor. don't forget to get your teflon tape to put around the sensor's threads. one more thing, don't let them sell you a coolant temperature sending unit. that's used for your temperature gauge inside your car. the ECT is much larger.
