Weird Gear Sound

Okay I got my 3.73's installed the other day now my gears make the stange sound whne you release the gas pedal and coast a little. They make this sound like it's winding down wwoooooooo. Is this normal or has the backlash been set to deep?

welcome to gear whine. Take it back and politely demand, as a paying customer, that they fix it.

EDIT: does it make any whining sound under light accelleration?

No Whining at all during any type of accelleration.

some measurement is not set right. im not sure which one causes that...backlash??

they need to resetup the pinion depth/ backlash

I was going to say it MIGHT be an out of balanced drive-shaft. But i agree that its just the "gear whine"

Normally gear whine will occur at a certain speed range. If you started hearing this noise RIGHT after the gear install, the gears are probably whining.
